I know booking a photography session can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time. This FAQ page answers the most common questions about sessions, bookings, and what it’s like to work with me.

FAQ

01. How do we book you?

Just head to the Contact page in the menu and fill out the inquiry form. Share what you’re looking for and your preferred date, and I’ll be in touch to begin planning your session.


Everyone is welcome — no modeling experience needed. I’ll guide you every step of the way.

02. How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking at least a few weeks in advance to ensure we have enough time to thoughtfully plan your session — including location, timing, and creating a vision board that reflects your style and story.


If you’re in my local area and it’s a last-minute request, I may be able to accommodate bookings with as little as 48 hours’ notice, depending on availability.

03. We feel awkward in front of the camera — will you guide us?

Absolutely. Feeling a little nervous is completely normal — most of my clients say the same thing at first. My assistant and I take the time to listen to your concerns and gently guide you throughout the session so you feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera.


You (and your family) are the heart of the session. Our goal is to create a relaxed, enjoyable experience that feels effortless — never forced or uncomfortable.

04. Can you help with location recommendations?

Yes, absolutely. In your pre-session questionnaire, you’ll have the option to share if you already have a preferred location in mind. If not, I’m more than happy to recommend locations that align with your vision, style, and the overall feel you want for your session.


Together, we’ll choose a setting that complements your story beautifully.

05. When will we receive our photos?

My turnaround time is typically 3–4 weeks, depending on the season and overall workload. During peak or holiday seasons (such as Thanksgiving or Christmas), delivery may be closer to the four-week mark.


If an extended turnaround time is ever anticipated, it will be clearly communicated in advance and outlined in our agreement. I always prioritize transparency and timely delivery.

 

06. Do we have to pay in full when booking a session?

No, full payment is not required at the time of booking. A nonrefundable retainer is required to secure your session date, and the remaining balance is due on or before the day of your session.


If you prefer to pay in full at the time of booking, you’re more than welcome to do so — but it’s completely optional.

07. What if I don't want my photos shared on your social media?

Your trust means everything to me. If you’re not comfortable with your images being shared online, I will fully honor your wishes.


Your privacy will always be respected!

08. Do you offer weddings (or events)? I don't see a package listed!

Yes, I do! Weddings and events are quoted separately, as each celebration is unique and requires a personalized approach.
